Founders Day Golf Tournament - May 3, 2008

Start putting your foursomes together, making your travel arrangements and negotiating for that ever elusive weekend hall pass! This year’s golf tournament will take place at the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena on Saturday, May 3rd. It’s a best-ball format so golfers of all abilities can contribute.

Come see old friends, share stories, and watch the band, cheerleaders, and Bruin football team pass by all from our tailgate spot in prime location. We look forward to your joining us on Homecoming Weekend to carry on our tradition of Brotherhood with friends old and new.

2007 "Shorttakes" Film Fest Sponsored by Theta Chi

Please join us on May 24, 2007 @ 6:30 PM as the Alumni Corporation and undergraduate chapter sponsor the 14th Annual UCLA "Shorttakes" Student Film Festival. The screening event for all finalist films will be held in Ackerman Grand Ballroom starting @ 6:30 PM. As in years past, several Beta Alpha alumnus brothers have volunteered to be festival judges. Please join me in thanking the following alumnus members for their contribution to UCLA and the fraternity: Peter Abraham Greg Bohnert Bob Dohrmann Brian Maeda Paul Robinson Chip Schner The event is free and there will be free refreshments at intermission. Fall `85 Reunion

Fall `85 Reunion. The Bitter Men “Wow”.

The 20 yr. bald, fat and gray reunion tour.

The pledge class of Fall 1985 will be reuniting during homecoming weekend of Oct. 22nd. Attending will be members Rich "Photog" Arnold, Shim “Pee Wee” Ressing, Cort “Cakewalk” LaMead, Scott “Crabs” Sargent aka Skates, Gordon “Wham” Eichhorst, Mark “Momo” Maruyama, Brian “The Vidiot” Hartley, Jeff “Snail” Anderson aka slanderson, Eric “Nermal” Watkins and the following are either missing in action or unavailable: Ed “Charissa” Bunner, Jim “Kenny the Gardner” Flanders, Mike “Quicksquirt” Opre, John “Glovelove” Fry, Jeff “Surftwinkie” Hildreth, Dave “Sexdwarf” Cristofaro, Greg “Spacetrucker” Williams, Mark “PigPen” Hanson and Chris “Slug” Miller. New Tech Chair

It`s another new school year, and there`s now a new technology chair. The website has finally been updated as follows:

*the contacts section now shows our two new executive officers, Ryan Baker (Social Chair) and Eric Weinstein (Vice President)

*the gallery now has thumbnails for Winter 2005 and pictures from Spring 2005

*the Fall rush flyer is now viewable, along with minor changes to the rush schedule

Look forward to continuing updates as the year progresses.

Beta Alpha Sponsors UCLA Film Festival

For the second year in a row, the Beta Alpha Alumni Association in conjunction with the undergraduate chapter have been invited to sponsor the UCLA "Shorttakes" Student Film Festival. The festival, now in its 12th year at UCLA, is a one night celebration of student film making open to any and all students (film school students and non-film school entrants are welcome). UCLA Campus Events is the event organizer and has welcomed Beta Alpha back with tremendous appreciation. Also included this year is the Starlight-Starbright Foundation as a beneficiary of the event. Starlight-Starbright is a non-profit foundation dedicated to aiding terminally ill children and their families through innovative technology resources and content within care facilities and hospitals. In addition to the Association providing financial support for the event. Five Beta Alpha Alumni working in the entertainment industry have volunteered their time as judges for the event. The respective alumnus members volunteering are:
